FAQ
We work at the intersection of architecture, interiors, identity, and human
behaviour. We stand a bit far from the traditional architects and interior
designers, operating in the discipline that sits between them. We shape how a
place feels to move through, how a brand lives at the scale of a wall or a sign,
and how people understand where they are and where they go.
Signage, though a meagre part of a space, is often the most visible. The real
work takes place in spatial strategy, brand translation into environments,
material and sensory systems, wayfinding logic, and the frameworks that keep it
all coherent across a building’s lifetime. Wayfinding, we believe, is the logic
embedded into a space: slight lines, colour, materiality, light, and typography all
working as a single navigational instrument.
As early as possible. Ideally, at concept or schematic design stages, when
spatial decisions are still fluid. The earlier we are brought in, the less our work
looks like an overlay. That said, we regularly enter projects mid-stream and in
completed buildings.
We begin with a deep read of the place and the people who will inhabit it. We
learn movement patterns, brand intent, cultural context, and the specific
moments of arrival, transition, and destination within the space. We always work
with a branding strategy team if necessary.
From there: concept development, spatial testing, and design development of
different systems (environmental graphics, signage typologies, material
specifications). We stay present with you until the last bracket is fixed.
Get in touch with us through email or call. Tell us about the space and who uses
it. The formal brief can come later; first, let's understand the place. Tell us what
isn’t working in there. That’s where we start!
