Spatial Design
Located within a hilly mountain landscape, this pharmaceutical manufacturing facility reimagines the conventional industrial typology through a context-responsive spatial design approach. The primary challenge lay in negotiating the site’s contours while preserving the existing topography. The spatial zoning was carefully organised around the natural terrain.
The architectural language departs from the typical character of industrial buildings, presenting a refined and visually engaging built form. The façade and elevation draw inspiration from the client's brand identity, subtly translating its visual language into architectural elements.
To strengthen the relationship between the building and the existing contour, random rubble stone from the context is preserved by using it for the retaining wall. A warm terracotta-brown palette further anchors the form within its natural surroundings enabling the facility to blend with the landscape.
