Zaitoon Restaurant steps into Chennai with a revised spatial language strategy for its global identity. The façade offers a facelift with customised panels that instantly stand out as the project’s defining spatial gesture. Horizontal panels are layered meticulously across the exterior, creating a rhythmic sweep, while soothing, diffused wall-washer lights are tucked in seamlessly along the base, adding a soft glow that grounds the structure. A subtle band of brand pattern runs along the first-floor height, and pockets of lush greenery are carefully woven into the exterior, bringing a refreshing breath of nature.
The spatial experience shifts into a muted, elegant tone inside, with warm coloured layers meeting a material palette of Italian marble, wooden veneers, and textured finishes, creating a calm and refined interior. The design takes inspiration from the brand icon of the olive, and its gentle forms appear as floor inlays and soft patterns that flow naturally through the space. Dual-tone sofas with playful patterns add comfort and personality, while hanging lights customised with natural stone elevate the ambience.
The banquet hall features a vibrant, luminous environment for celebrations, brought alive through multiple layers of lighting, sleek, minimal chandeliers, and walls wrapped in customised panels that carry a new symphonic spatial pattern.
The restaurant floor follows a smooth, intuitive circulation layout that makes movement, seating, and service highly efficient while elevating the overall dining experience. A combination of natural terrazzo and Italian marble defines the flooring, adding subtle character. At the centre, an iconic plant installation creates gentle zoning and privacy, supported by a series of hanging lights and newly developed drum pendants that add a warm, inviting glow.
Throughout the project, the brand identity is softly integrated, from engraved olive-branch graphics in the brand colour to a continuous brand pattern that runs across half-height walls, tying every space together.
